We joined Wicor Primary School for their Last Night of the Proms evening. It was our first performance, so there were a few nerves but we sang well and enjoyed it.

2019 St Mary's Church Carol Service
2019 St Mary's Church Carol Service

It was the first of our two carol services at St Mary's Church, Portchester last night. Such a beautiful place to sing in. As a Saxon church built in 1130, those walls must have heard many styles of singing over the years. Not sure if the Augustinian monks clapped along to their plainsong - but we did manage to encourage the congregation to clap along to "In Excelsis Deo". It was the first time we'd tried clapping and singing at the same time to that song, but most of us managed it!

2021 At the Community Centre

Socially distanced seating for choir rehearsals for a while after Covid. We had been closed for many months and it was wonderful, if a little scary, to be back together singing again.

Dec 2022 Portchester Precinct Lighting Up Event Rehearsal

It was good to be part of Portchester's Christmas Light celebration. The weather was kind to us and the precinct was packed. For the first time we were early on in the programme which meant we actually had an audience! Here's our final practise from the evening before.

By 2023 we had decided against the lilac accessories and went for a more uniform look with just our logo in the front of everyone's top.

2023 Sailing into a new future

We were privileged to be invited to sing at Katie (a choir member) and Atif's wedding reception at Portchester Sailing Club. Katie had chosen "I Can't Help Falling in Love with You". The fact that there were only 20 or so of us didn't hinder us from doing justice to that beautiful song.
